The joint World Bank, IMF spring meetings are taking place this week.
Most of it is virtual but kicking off the Spring Meetings on Tuesday was an in-person conversation between Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen, World Bank President David Malpass, and IMF Managing Director Kristalina Georgieva.
The conversation was themed, "Economic Recovery: Toward a Green, Resilient, and Inclusive Future."
It was the most empty presentation between high-level global leaders I have ever witnessed. It was just three people babbling with platitudes about "solving" COVID, climate change and inequality. It was all in an effort to justify and take multi-national crony spending to new heights.
