A new generation of House Democratic leaders taking over for Nancy Pelosi and her team has debuted at the party’s annual retreat. At their conference in Baltimore, Democrats are fired up and they're happy to brag about their accomplishments with President Joe Biden and counter Speaker Kevin McCarthy’s new Republican majority. The Democratic team led by Rep. Hakeem Jeffries of New York brings a wholesale reshuffling of congressional leadership of the party. They're eager to run alongside Biden if he seeks a second term and as they work win back the House majority. But echoes of Pelosi are everywhere at the Democratic retreat.
