Eastpointe police investigate shooting

EASTPOINTE — An Eastpointe man was rushed to a hospital after being shot in the head at approximately 3:15 p.m. Dec. 9 at a home in the 21700 block of Rein Avenue, which is north of Toepfer Drive and east of Gratiot Avenue.
Police said the suspect or suspects were still at large and that investigators believed this was not a random crime. They added that a burgundy Jeep Grand Cherokee was seen leaving the scene at the time of the shooting, and it might have been driven by the shooter or shooters.
