The Eastern Cape housing department has summarily dismissed its chief financial officer (CFO) after a disciplinary inquiry found Ouma Gaehumelwe Diutlwileng guilty on a litany of charges which included gross dishonesty, insubordination and negligence. The department accused Diutlwileng, employed in the post from March 1 2019, of undertaking remunerative work for other government entities outside housing, without first obtaining the permission of the housing head of department.
