Easter Food Ideas: What Are You Cooking for Easter Dinner?
My Easter Brunch plans got started last week, when my friend Tee sent me a text asking what my daughter, Willow, and I were doing for Easter. They know that we don't have any family living out in these parts (we do have some cousins that live close by if you consider Spanaway close by). Tee has two kids close to Willow's age and they get along great, so she wanted to have us over for Easter company.
I hadn't really thought about what we were going to do for Easter Brunch at that point because PRE-COVID we always went over to my friend's house for brunch, we'll call her "Sheila". POST-COVID, Sheila doesn't like to have anyone in her house, lest we bring in that fresh potentially COVID-tainted air. Sheila can throw down on some Easter ham and spinach quiche. I have always been too lazy to bake a ham and I would probably burn up the quiche. I got spoiled years ago when a different friend had invited me over for Easter dinner and had ordered Honeybaked Ham. If I were to order one this year, I'd have to drive all the way to Kennewick in Tri-Cities (although I have heard that you can get one shipped to your house but it's much too late to order for Easter now).
