Teachers and staff in the Everett Area School District were scheduled to received COVID-19 vaccinations today, but their appointment was postponed due to an increased demand in the first phase of the stateâs vaccine distribution.
Superintendent Danny Webb said the district has been working with the Hyndman â Bedford â Richland Family Health Centers for about three weeks to coordinate vaccinations for the district employees.
About 120 district employees were set to receive the first does of the vaccine today, but the appointment was postponed Thursday morning.
Webb said district officials were upset about the short notice and delay to the needed vaccine for teachers.
