Earthquake near South Lake Tahoe jolts Bay Area awake

A 3.2 magnitude earthquake shook parts of South Lake Tahoe early Monday morning, according to the United States Geological Survey.The Chronicle
The quake was detected at 5:37 a.m. with an epicenter just under 5 miles southeast of Dollar Point in Placer County.
The earthquake struck at about a depth of 1.2 miles, according to USGS data.
