COVID VACCINE TODAY. IT’S ALL PART OF A CDC AND PARTNER PHARMACIES VACCINE DISTRIBUTION PROGRAM. KCRA 3’S MELANIE WINGO HAS MORE FROM SOME LOCAL FACILITIES, IN-LINE TO GET THE VACCINE. EFFECTS 15,000 OF CALIFORNIA’S SKILLED NURSING FACILITIES, WELCOME NEWS TO LOCAL LONG-TERM CARE FACILITIES. >> WE ARE ALL EXCITED. WE WANT TO GET TO NORMAL. THE LONG-TERM CARE FACILITIES COULD HAVE OPTED OUT AND USED A STATE PROGRAM. CVS TELLING KCRA THAT A LOT OF LONG-TERM FACILITIES OPTED IN. >> TELL ME WHAT THE RESPONSE HAS BEEN FROM THE RESIDENCE, FAMILIES, STAFF MEMBERS, FOR BEING THE NEXT IN LINE HERE. >> HAS BEEN ABOUT 50-50.
