BELMONT HILLS, Pa. (CBS) — A community of firefighters, friends, and family gathered outside of the Belmont Hill Fire Company on Saturday to remember a firefighter killed in the line of duty. The fire department is now coping with yet another loss, one that they say could have been prevented.
A flag at half staff; black bunting draped over fire trucks; tight hugs that symbol solidarity as firefighters with the Belmont Hills Fire Company recognized the end of watch for firefighter Thomas Edwin Royds.
