After five years with the Earthquake Commission (EQC), the body corporate’s claim for the 11 Marine Pde apartments was judged over-cap and passed to Vero in 2016.
No agreement could be reached within the settlement deadline, and the owners launched High Court action in 2017. Vero has put off scheduled court dates six times, variously saying it was not ready or its experts were unavailable, Shaw said.
