Importantly, knowing that it would not pass how damaged is he to not well, he wants to be seen as doing something to avert the shot down. But obviously the defeat of a stop gap bill was a terrible set back some or even calling it a new confidence votes in mccarthy. But lets not forget that his position has always been difficult. It took 50 and rounds voting to get him the speakership. The republicans have a tiny majority in the house, so theres a contingent, a far right republicans that make his job particularly difficult. Theyve threatened to alice them from the speakership, if he puts a deal with the democrats to get funding through. Now all of this, so what now does, theres already starting to be talk about who could replace something, mccarthy in the event of an allister bar, tougher, better versus replacing him is not going to be easy. The thing that mccarthy really as cool is that he really, really wants the starbucks point to go down to those 15 around to vote. And he just have coming back. And anybody who would be in a position to replace him might not want the job as much perhaps because of all the challenges that i have already mentioned. Thats clearly brian has were seeing tonight. I was a federal employee in 2013, uh that shut down lasted about 17 days back then, you know, it kind of felt like a fun, rare occasion, but theyre, theyre becoming more and more frequent. Now theyre lasting longer and impacting more folks. If i could make it, thats the point to the speaker of the house is willing to let this, you know this, this spectacle take place. You know, people are scratching their heads and asking why now it seems so early, but it was also something to watch. I, ive gotten out of business of predicting what donald trump is going to do or not do, but i think the Republican Debate is related to it. I think, you know, those of us that eat sleep and breathe this stuff all day every day. I didnt even watch it. I know very few people that good.
