Noting how sexual assault and harassment has a way of eroding trust in relationships and organizations, Affolder said there are “things we need to be talking about if we’re ever going to make our Army and our country better.” Also on-hand to speak to a crowd of cadre and roughly 50 advanced individual training troops were former Staff Sgt. Elena Rooney, Chief Warrant Officer 2 Virginia Greer and Sgt. 1st Class Denisse Liggens, all sexual assault survivors.
