Labour candidate Joy Allen has been named the county's new police and crime commissioner after a dramatic day.
Ms Allen received 80,520 votes in total.
The count, which started at 9am, saw Lib Dem candidate Anne-Marie Curry eliminated in the first round after receiving 13,644 votes.
However, Shortly after 1.30pm on Saturday it was said there would be a recount due to discrepancies.
