DUMBARTON’S cyclists, walkers and wheelers are being asked to share their views on how to improve a popular path along the River Leven.
The Scottish Greenways Programme, run by Sustrans Scotland and backed by funding from Transport Scotland, is allowing people to submit their ideas through an interactive map of the River Leven Path.
The path, a section of which was closed earlier in the year to allow SP Energy Networks and Balfour Beatty to carry out work on electricity cables in the area, is used by many Dumbarton and the Vale residents for exercise.
But some sections are also affected by litter and fly-tipping, and now ideas on making it more welcoming, accessible and enjoyable are being asked for in an online consultation.
