A HOSPICE is now even better equipped to help parents to support their children when faced with a terminal diagnosis within the family.
The Duchess of Kent Hospice, in Reading, has welcomed a kind donation of a new resource library of books to help support children.
The gift came from the John Sykes Foundation as part of a new project to help families locally.
Lucy Sansom, a social worker for the Hospice contacted the Foundation after a previous application back in December 2019 had been granted for a family she had assisted.
She said: "In my role I often come into contact with families where a parent has received the devastating news that they have a terminal illness.
