CANTON – A Canton man behind a deadly September traffic crash has been sentenced to up to 13 years in prison.
Alexander's defense and county prosecutors reached a plea agreement calling for him to serve an indefinite term of nine to 13 1/2 years in prison.
Stark County Common Pleas Judge Chryssa Hartnett also gave Alexander a lifetime license suspension.
According to court records, Alexander was driving a Ford Escape on Sept 18 under the influence of alcohol and without a license when he ran a red light, crashing into a vehicle and killing To'nia Davis, 20. The collision occurred around 1 a.m. at Dueber Avenue SW and Ninth Street in Canton.
