A DRUNK man launched a tirade of abuse at support workers because they wouldn’t give him money, a court heard.
Simon James Dawbney called female support workers “slags” and “prostitutes” and made racist comments to an African support worker on the evening of July 29 this year.
Newton Aycliffe Magistrates’ Court heard that the 42-year-old became abusive towards staff at Cornwall Court supported accommodation, in Murton, after his request for money was denied.
Jonathan Hanratty, prosecuting, said: “Chuckwuemeka Ogbo [Dawbney’s support worker at the time] says he received information that the defendant was unhappy because he had asked for money and it was refused.
