On Tuesday morning around 5:30, the Sangamon County Sheriff’s Office Investigations Division, along with DIRT and the Tactical Response Unit (TRU) executed a search warrant in the 500 block of South Wesley, Springfield. The warrant was obtained after a narcotics investigation which targeted 33 year old Matthew P. Brinkley, of Springfield.
After TRU secured the residence, and arrested Brinkley, Investigators searched and seized the following items;
1. $1500.00 USC,
3. A digital scale,
5. DVR from a surveillance camera,
6. Motorized bicycle (reported stolen)
7. Echo chainsaw (reported stolen)
8. Approximately 2,000 rounds of various types of ammunition, and
9. The following weapons;
