Drive-by holiday raises thousands for Iowa City-area food pantries, food recovery

A team of neighbors, some holiday lights and some yard signs have raised $1,500 — or about 10,000 pounds of food — and counting for a local nonprofit.
This year, the dazzling annual holiday lights display by some of the Rita Lyn Court residents on Iowa City's east side are accompanied by a special ask: If you can, donate via Venmo, a mobile payment service, to Table to Table, a local food rescue that provides food to more than half of the meal sites and food pantries in Johnson County.
