A "DANGEROUS" drink driver who caused a crash which left a woman with serious injuries and blamed his dog for "distracting" him is now behind bars.
Przemyslaw Marek was jailed for 32 months at Worcester Crown Court earlier this month for the crash in Herefordshire.
Marek, of Wasdale Court, Warndon, Worcester, had previously admitted dangerous driving which caused serious injury when he appeared at the same court in November.
The crash happened on July 7 last year when Marek crashed his Renault Kangoo van on the A44 at Bredenbury, near Bromyard, causing serious injuries to Fiona Finney.
The defendant was also banned from driving for three years and this ban was extended by 16 months so it will begin as soon as he is released from prison at the halfway point of his sentence.
