Health chiefs have insisted that a new coronavirus vaccine hub will open in Downham within weeks, weeks after one was pledged.
The assurance comes amid growing criticism from residents and some community representatives about the provision of the jabs in the town.
Three GP surgeries in Downham have been providing vaccinations in the meantime, though many residents say they have had to travel elsewhere to be protected.

Borough councillor Andy Bullen asked: âWhy mislead the public at such a crucial time?
âWe expected the hub in February and were assured that it was to go ahead. It is now March and I donât think it unfair to ask for an update.â
