Donovan files for possible run against Boebert

State Sen. Kerry Donovan filed paperwork Wednesday announcing her bid for the Democratic Party nomination to challenge GOP U.S. Rep. Lauren Boebert for Colorado’s 3rd Congressional District.
In an exclusive interview with The Daily Sentinel on Wednesday, Donovan said she decided to pull the trigger on that announcement so early before the 2022 race because she hates what she’s been seeing from the freshman congresswomen.
“Our part of Colorado is more concerned with getting results than getting headlines,” said Donovan, who plans to formally announce her candidacy later today. “She’s reckless and likes to grandstand. I have a proven record, and offer the district an opportunity to see what real leadership looks like.”
