I've eaten a lot of weird things in my life, but this one takes the cake.
First of all, has anyone ever heard of an "ugli" fruit before? Its appearance justifies its name, because man, is this thing unsatisfying to look at. Its original name is called a "Jamaican Tangelo" and I found this little gem at the Dartmouth Shaw's on State Road.
While strolling through the produce section, I noticed the oddly shaped fruit that almost looked like it was decaying and was as big as a good-sized grapefruit. My interest was beyond piqued so I asked one of the produce workers, and to my surprise, he told me that these bulbous-looking fruits are actually pretty tasty.
