(Photo by Villamor Visaya Jr.) TUGUEGARAO CITY - Vice presidential candidate Senator Vicente Sotto III has urged registered voters to focus on the candidates' performance and accomplishments, rather than delve into surveys. "Compare the accomplishments of candidates. We are happy when the people reminisce our help when we see each other," Sotto said in a press briefing after a sectoral meeting at the People's Gymnasium here on Tuesday. Survey results, he added, are only "a snapshot for a particular day or days. It does not mean that this is the reflection on May 9. As far as I know, we will finish strong." Debunking surveys, presidential hopeful Senator Panfilo Lacson said he is not bothered as it is not election yet, although he admitted to be trailing in the results. "I find it difficult to understand and believe that based sa aking nararamdaman at base sa interviews lalo pa ako lalagapak. Ewan ko (I will further sink. I don't know)," he said. Lacson was referring to the recent Pulse Asia polls conducted from February 18-23, which showed that presidential candidate Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr. maintained a huge lead from other presidentiables with a 60-percent rating, followed by Vice President Leni Robredo -- 15 percent; Manila Mayor Isko Moreno -- 10 percent; Senator Manny Pacquiao -- 8 percent; and himself with 2 percent. The rest of the presidential candidates -- Faisal Mangondato, Leody de Guzman, Jose Montemayor, Jr., Ernesto Abella and Norberto Gonzales -- scored 0.4 percent or less. There were 4 percent of respondents who were undecided. (PNA) }
