After Georgia knelt down to pick up some rubbish, the dog pounced and ripped off the teen's lip. She was dashed to A&E and needed urgent treatment to the severe facial wounds.
Georgia's family, who believe the dog was a Staffordshire Bull Terrier crossed with a Pitbull, have contacted police who are investigating.
And the college student's furious mum Cheryl Wilson believes the same dog may be linked to other recent attacks in Grimsby, Lincs.
"Speaking with the police, they're looking into it being the same dog causing all the trouble in the area, as well as looking at CCTV on the shop nearby to see if they can get a good look at it," the 43-year-old said.
