The Upstate is mourning the lives of a family shot and killed in Rock Hill. The couple and their two grandchildren are remembered for their service to Camp Joy.
Close friends of the family say they were deeply rooted in helping others. The couple joined the Camp Joy family, headquartered here in Greenville.
Camp Joy is a camp for children and teenagers with special needs. It has locations in North Carolina, South Carolina and several other states around the southeast.
“I can’t imagine what it would be like to lose your parents and your kids all in one day," Dr. Brent Turner, who works at Camp Joy, said.
