Doctor who warned hospital about 'faulty trolleys' had his career ended by one of them eight years later after one collapsed on his arms during a procedure leaving him permanently injured

Dr Wim Blancke, a consultant anaesthetist at North Bristol NHS Trust was left with no choice but to retire early after acting quickly to save a patient on a collapsing trolley in an operating theatre.
