NEGROS OCCIDENTAL, March 15 (PIA) - - About 49,000 healthcare workers (HCWs) including the barangay health workers in Western Visayas are assured the priority of getting vaccinated until April as the vaccination roll out continues to gain momentum in the region.
National Task Force for COVID-19 deputy chief implementer and testing czar Sec. Vivencio “Vince” Dizon made the assurance in his recent visit to Iloilo City, Silay and Bacolod cities in Negros Occidental.
The vaccines, which Dizon referred to as “doses of hope” amid all the anxieties, fears and fatique that health care workers have experienced in the past year," are intended for the the heroes and heroines in the fight against COVID-19 in the initial phase of the vaccine roll out.
