District 4 up for grabs as Maury commissioner resigns
Maury County Commissioner Matthew White is stepping down from his post.
White, who represents District 4 including parts of Columbia’s western edge, resigned from the role this week.
"I appreciate the opportunity to have served with you and your colleagues on behalf of the county," White said in a resignation letter shared with The Daily Herald.
White’s departure was formally shared by Commission Chair Don Morrow, during the county’s full commission meeting in June.
White no longer resides in the district that he represents, which requires him to resign from the position.
