Walt Disney Co.'s Disney+ platform has 86.8 million subscribers, the company said during its annual investor day on Thursday. Shares gained more than 3% on the news in after-hours trade.
Disney's  (
DIS) - Get Report stock closed at a record high of $154.69 Thursday, before the company's annual investors event. The stock also hit an intraday all-time high of $155.34 Thursday.
"Disney+ has exceeded our wildest expectations," said Disney Chief Executive Officer Bob Chapek. “All or our content will eventually end up in Disney+,” he said.
