DHAKA, Dec. 30, 2020 (BSS)-Dhaka Abahani Limited confirmed their quarterfinal spot as group champions in the Federation Cup Football beating Bangladesh Muktijoddha Sangsad Krira Chakra by 2–1 goals in their last group D match held today at Bangabandhu National Stadium here.
With the day’s victory, Abahani Limited secured six points from two matches to emerge top from Group D while Bangladesh Muktijoddha Sangsad Krira Chakra failed to secure any point playing the same number of outings and made their exit from the tournament race.
Group D champions Abahani will play group B runners-up Uttar Baridhara in the fourth quarterfinal match scheduled to be held on January 4.
