Second time's the charm. Michigan was close to landing one of their top choices this cycle at DT before USC swooped in. One season of defensive play later, they managed to divert one of their favorite Pennsylvanians on his way to L.A. Deyvid Palepale announced this evening he's flipping from a new Big Ten team to the reigning champs. @CoachMikeElston @CamboyzTraining Go blue pic.twitter.com/w4pShbvEFK — Deyvid Palepale (@deyvid_palepale) December 10, 2023 A native Alaska, Palepale (pah-lay-Pah-lay) projects as the nose tackle of this class. He also plays basketball and track (discus and shotput). He's cousins with Lions lineman Penei Sewell. We'll get a full writeup this week I imagine. He's the fourth DT in a class that includes Manuel Beigel, Owen Wafle, and Ted Hammond, but Palepale is the most projectable to nose tackle after Michigan failed to land a pure nose in the 2023 cycle. He's a 3-star but I wouldn't read too much into the rankings given the bloodlines and which schools were battling for him.
