weapons or homemade shields, instead of slowing out slogans or chanting, they were shouting obscenities and insults at the police. it was so much more violent. that's because a lot of these protesters believe that the thugs who attacked protesters at the station last week were hired by the police, that's really injected a new quality into this, where there were so many young people who felt like the police were now on the menu, they're part of the source of the anger of these protests. >> pretty interesting, this all started, of course, when they were trying to change a law that has gone away. now what are they trying to really achieve here? >> it's a good question, kendis, the law that would have seen hong kong or possibly extradited to mainland china, that's been basically shelled, it's no longer on the table any more.
