man whose support he may need for his re-election bid. kelly o'donnell at the white house for us, garrett haake on capitol hill. kelly, we've got another meeting scheduled to take place in the situation room. set the stage for us right now. what is expected to happen? anything realistic going to emerge? >> reporter: the location the situation room is a message in and of itself from the trump administration trying to equate border security with national security and a kind of threat level for the other kinds of meetings or briefings that would typically happen in the situation room. it's also a place where cameras are never permitted, press cameras are never permitted. so they will have some quiet for this meeting. of course one of the times we saw in the oval office with the president and congressional leaders, we saw that free for all realtime negotiation on camera that's been played again and again. that can't happen today based on the location they chose. do we expect any breakthroughs? hard to say except that meeting is a better thing than not meeting at all.
