under arrest by the capitol police. republicans may be gaining moment num the polls but democrats appear to be leading when it comes to raising money. nearly every democratic candidate is using the fund-raising website act blue to fuel their campaign for the midterms. act blue makes it easier for candidates in liberal causes to set up fund-raising websites making it easier to receive donations from small-dollar doanars. it took act blue 12 years to raise its first billion dollars. this year alone from january through september, it's raised $1.3 billion. after the ford hearing, it shattered its single day record taking in $16.8 million. >> this is civic engagement i don't think anyone has seen on this scale before. they're putting their money where their mouths are in $34 chunks to change our country. that's inspiring to see. we'll check the markets moment before trading closes. you're watching msnbc.
