late today, a federal judge denied paul manafort's request to move his trial out of virginia, saying there won't be a problem finding impartial jurors there, and that's not all tonight. the special counsel also seeking immunity for five witnesses testifying against manafort in this trial. it means the witnesses wouldn't have any reason to hold anything back, for now mueller keeping their identities a secret. one expert tells "the beat" this the probably not a reference to people like rick gates who is cooperating. it could be people who've also worked closely separately with manafort and have not been identified yet. i'm joined by former federal prosecutor john flannery. what's your reaction to this news tonight? >> i would think not significant witnesses in this sense. they're probably bank officers or tax preparers and so forth
