we know the president has been touting this all week long. yesterday, he was meeting with those who have been victims, he says, of illegal immigration, who may have lost loved ones to those who are here and are undocumented. at the same time, this bill is going to face some stiff resistance in the senate, hallie. you know this. it gets a lot tougher in the senate. obviously, a tougher body to get through. now, there are a lot of opponents to both of these pieces of legislation. the reason why, they say it's only going to embolden those who are anti-immigrant and also, they say, it's going to create a deportation task force and really put the focus on that. and they also worry that it's going to lead to discrimination to those who are here, who may be undocumented or who may be in the process of becoming legal citizens. so, there is stiff opposition to both of these measures, hallie. again, this is one of the president's key priorities.
