is behind this and why. >> well, i think the keys to this investigation are not unlike the keys to the investigation in paris. what we've really learned about the paris network came from the identities of the people that carried it out, and i think that really is what we need to figure out here. there was a report from at least one hostage that the hostage-takers were speaking english with a nigerian accent. obviously, if that's the case, these folks probably aren't affiliated with an al qaeda group in mali. they're probably more likely affiliated with boko haram, which is affiliated with isis over in nigeria. we don't really know, though, yet, and there are other potential actors, too. there's obviously moequ tar, someone the u.s. launched an air strike against just in june against libya, supposedly who survived. this is the same guy behind the gas plant hostage-taking massacre, again, a very similar hostage-taking incident. he certainly has an animus towards the west and the united states. i'm sure he would love to make a
