and then senator ted cruz of texas proclaimed that he too wants an investigation into what happened in that mississippi election. thad cochran might have stolen the election. >> what happened in mississippi was appalling. i mean, primaries are always rough and tumble, but the conduct of the washington, d.c. machine in the mississippi runoff was incredibly disappointing. >> it was one thing when that mississippi senate race goes a distant annoyance for the republican party, but now conservative case makers like senator cruz saying the republican party robbed him, it looks like somebody ripped the band-aid off this thing. so, again, i don't know if this is going to become anything more than it is right now, but watch this space on this mississippi story. it's going to be interesting to see if all the other ambitious republicans and media figures out there line up with ted cruz on this, because they usually do when he gives them the opportunity. we'll see you again tomorrow night.
