trading. >> high-frequency trading now thrust back into the public eye, with critics arguing the trading method comes out of billions of dollars. >> and with me now is the author "flash boys," michael lewis. how did you find your way into this story? >> it began with a curiosity about a goldman sachs high-frequency trading programmer who left goldman and was arrested by the fbi for stealing goldman's high-frequency code. and he ends up, i think it was when he was thrown in jail, for what, seven or eight years. i just started -- i just wondered how on earth the only person from goldman sachs after this financial crisis gets thrown in jail is the only person goldman sachs wants thrown in jail. so i started to poke around that story and went looking for
