nbc's brian mooar reports from belfont, pennsylvania. >> reporter: though it once seemed unlikely, a judge seated a 12th member of the jury that will decide the child sex abuse case against former penn state defensive coach jerry sandusky. >> the judge is clearly moving the case along quickly. the jury selection process, he didn't waste any time in phase two. >> reporter: juror 12 was seated before lunch, a day and a half after jury selection started. that silenced those who believed it was impossible to find a jury in a small community with such close ties to penn state and its legendary football team. well, the judge says these ties are to be expected. some of the connections were a little too close. >> 15 people knew a member of the -- a person named on the prosecution witness list. 20 people knew someone on the defense witness list which was much longer. >> reporter: one juror is a current student. another a season ticket holder
