>> no, one of the things, when you get somebody, a notable face to do this and they have dropped out of school in second grade, it narrows it. >> well, that. >> you did this, right? >> yeah, i did it. a bunch of people did it. cycled through. i chose my 7th grade music teacher, i didn't turn out to be a great musician, but he taught us about life. >> about life. >> he did, actually. >> it goes back to teachers. we've had so many people pushing on education reform for so long. and as you were saying to john meacham, it's always two steps forward, one step back, but about a year and a half ago, started hearing about teachers, teachers, teachers. what led you to that conclusion after all you've done? >> well, first of all, one of the things we're trying to do with the teacher wall and a large piece of research we did with scholastic is to bring teachers into the conversation. you can't talk about changing a system without the teachers being a part of it.
