river and head right over interstate 78. then that will move up across interstate 80 as we go throughout the next hour. so we still have some dangerous storms out there and these are now well to the north. that severe weather happened yesterday. this is still associated with the same storm system from yesterday afternoon. now the severe weather threat today does go in the yellow. yesterday a high risk. we knew we'd have a bad weather situation and it was. today we do not expect a widespread outbreak but that doesn't mean we can't have one or two that could cause a death or even injuries. as far as what happened yesterday, all the red triangles where the tornado reports, one thing that's interesting you'll notice they almost draw a line to the northeast. these are probably the same tornado that was on the ground tore a long period of time especially the one that went from tuscaloosa to birmingham, the one outside of jackson that went into alabama. these were long track strong tornadoes. these are the ones that tend to be the deadliest. and taking a look at what's happening since 1974, of course that was the year of the super tornado outbreak when we had 366 deaths, now 262 fatalities this
