lead a new panel on jobs. this as advisers put the finishing touches on tuesday's state of the address. let's bring in peter baker. you wrote a very interesting piece about the president's first two years. with jeff immelt now going to head up the new competitiveness board. he replaces the recovery board that was headed by paul volcker. what do you think that signals, the larger theme here? >> of course, he was a central bank chairman who had done a lot to start the economy going again. he was a big macro economic thinker. the shift to jeffrey immelt tells us the president wants to make up with business after a period of rocky relations. he and the u.s. chamber of commerce were at each other's throat. now the president is saying i need some corporate thinking in
