here to tell us about it. >> good morning. we're even annoyed with the mini storms at this point and that's what we're going to be tracking going across the country. winter storm warnings up in kansas city. you're looking out the window waiting for the snowflakes to start flying. it will be a smaller storm but it will hit a large section of the middle of the country. this is snow breaking out over kansas near topeka. kansas city could end up with one of the higher snow totals. the pink shows 6 to 12 inches. kansas city should be around 6 to 8 inches by the time it's all said and done. notice the white stripe though from st. louis south of indianapolis, cincinnati, lexington, louisville, pittsburgh, into d.c., philadelphia, new york, boston, hartford. that's 3 to 6 inches over a wide swath. some of our southern cities, memphis, little rock, oklahoma city, you will get a little bit of ice and white stuff, too, in the next 48 hours.
