ouch. brutal. glad i'm not single. well t is definitely not a typical day for a flight attendant. one moment they're serving drinks and the next they're helping land the plane. but that's exactly what happened to flight attendant patricia she helped the pilot of american airlines flight 1612 flying from san francisco and she helped him land it safely at chicago's o'hare airport monday after the first officer began suffering from severe flu-like symptoms. patty does have a commercial pilot's license and 300 hours of flight time. earlier i talked to patty and asked her what it was like to have the lives of 225 people in her hands. >> i really couldn't think of it this way. this captain was very proficient and i was just there as a backup. he was flying the plane, he was doing almost everything. >> you have your flight license, so you were able to help him
