there. it's 4.6 earthquake that's rattled south central alaska on wednesday. it was located, the epicenter, about 35 miles northeast of anchorage and felt there in that city. 4.6 certainly enough to feel. usually not enough to do any major damage. we'll keep your eye on that if we get new information about that earthquake in alaska. change has come to virginia in the form of a proclamation declaring april as confederate history month. the new republican governor of virginia, bob mcdonle, issues the proclamation to, quote, understand the sacrifices of the confederate leader, soldiers and citizens during the period of the civil war. some civil rights leaders are outraged. especially since mcdonald left out anti-slavery language that was used by a former gop governor. former democratic virginia governor doug wilder who is african-american called it mind boggling. said it's one thing to sound a cause of rallying a base, but quite another to distort history. joining us now is virginia state senator mary margaret whipple. what's your reaction to april as confederate history month?
