treated in that area, they take them to that location. it is a very secure location. we understand there are about ten rooms for ten patients to be treated there. it's lock in, lock out. there are a number of law enforcement officers watching over this man right now, as you would imagine, because they want to make sure that even though he's in critical condition, we heard, they want to make sure he stays right there. >> absolutely understandably. what are we learning about that hero cop, the one that took down sweat? >> reporter: sergeant jay cook. you know kendis there have been a lot of twists and turns in this entire ordeal and i can tell you, this is the man that you wanted to take that shot. he's a firearms instructor, sergeant jay cook, who spotted him. he spotted him running toward the treeline. he knew that was the opportunity. if he wanted to get him, he had to get him then and there. so, he took that shot. he took a couple of shots and fired, hitting him right in the torso. >> incredible response. and our congrats to the police department there. abc's kenneth moton reporting live. kenneth, thanks so much.
