and it's the sort of thing that harry would do. >> reporter: here's what happened. harry was chatting on the phone to an old prep school chum, thomas van stroubenzy, who was taking a stroll in south london. then harry heard a kerfuffle and the line went dead. now, at this point i imagine some sort of fabulous batman-style deployment from an underground lair in st. james's palace. well, something like that. harry and his security detail spend to the scene of the crime, searching for the young chap who was, by the way, an usher at william's wedding. he's one of the prince's closest friends. anyway, he was nowhere to be seen. so quick-thinking harry headed for the local police station, where friend minus cell phone was found safe and well. hooray. and later the police, not harry, apprehended the alleged mugger. >> had he caught him, no saying what would have happened. harry's a tough guy. he's a tough nut to crack. >> reporter: all's well that ends well.
