across the median tom fleming saw a car going the wrong way. >> is she really doing what i think she's doing? because it didn't make sense to me. >> reporter: as he drove closer, fleming shot this cell phone video, honking his horn, trying to get the driver's attention. >> i saw cars swerving around her. she wouldn't stop. i yelled at her again. she waved her arm at me like leave me alone. >> reporter: witnesses say they saw the elderly woman, going about 45 to 50 miles an hour. cars zipped past, barely missing the woman but causing four accidents, including a truck that smashed into a bridge overpass. remarkably, there were no serious injuries. police finally located the 84-year-old driver from wilmington, delaware. they tell abc news that her daughter recognized the car on the news and when she questioned her mother about it, she said she had no idea she was going the wrong way and that she noticed some accidents on the road. her family took her keys and vehicle and are monitoring her
